Techstars Startup Weekend @ Bundaberg Generator
Bundaberg Techstars Startup Weekend
Techstars Startup Weekends are 54-hour events designed to provide superior experiential education for technical and non-technical entrepreneurs. Beginning with Friday night pitches, the event continues through brainstorming, business plan development, and basic prototype creation, culminating in Sunday night demos and presentations.
Participants create working startups during the event and are able to collaborate with like-minded individuals outside of their daily networks. All teams hear talks by industry leaders and receive valuable feedback from local entrepreneurs. The weekend is centered around action, innovation, and education.
The best news is that you don’t actually have to have your own idea to participate. You will be able to join a pitch team and learn how to get an idea from concept to launch. For existing business owners, this is the ideal immersion exercise to learn the skills you need to launch a new idea in your business, or to develop a new service offering or product line.

New website
We have launched a new website!
The new site provides you with the opportunity to purchase your day pass online directly. It also lists all of our upcoming events and open coworking days.

New access arrangements @Bundaberg Generator
Accessing the Generator @ Bundaberg has become even simpler.
Instead of having to arrange to meet someone to let you in or get a fob, we have migrated to a mobile phone app system.
This means that you can unlock the door from your phone, once you have downloaded the app and been issued a key.
We’ve been trialing the system over the last few weeks and the feedback from users has been overwhelmingly positive. If you are keen to find out more, reach out to Tamar.
Membership options
Did you know that in addition to day passes, you can actually purchase a monthly access pass?
We offer people the option to either have 24/7 access to the coworking space or choose the VIP experience where you can purchase the right to a dedicated desk with a locable filing cabinet.

Open Coworking Day
Not sure whether coworking is for you?
Once a month, we hold a free coworking day that you are welcome to come in and see what it’s like coworking alongside other entrepreneurs, freelancers, indie hackers and creatives. This is a no-strings-attached way to see how you can benefit from surrounding yourself by like-minded individuals. Limited spaces are available each month so email hello@thegenerator.org.au to ask about the next free come-and-try day.
Startup Bundy Open Coffee
Startup Bundy Open Coffee is a Meetup group that was born out of the 2019 Techstars Startup Weekend in Bundaberg.
Their mission is to help create space for engaging conversation and connections. If you are interested in business, motivation, inspiration or just good coffee and a chat with like minded people you should come along.
They meet weekly and gather around coffee to to talk about the startup experience, business innovation, to discuss new startup ideas, lean startup methodology, access to funding, startup resources, and generally connect with interesting people.

We are proud to be collaborating with this group and hosting Open Coffee meetups at The Generator.
