DESCRIPTION:Get your Gambling Community Benefit Fund application ready to submit.\nThe Gambling Community Benefit Fund provides one-off grants of up to $35\,000 to eligible Queensland not-for-profit community groups for projects that benefit their communities. \nThis practical workshop is designed to help you work through your application and present your project clearly and effectively. \nIn this practical session\, we’ll cover:\n\nWhat the GCBF is looking for\nChecking your organisation and project eligibility\nChoosing a project that fits the funding guidelines\nClearly explaining your project and community need\nWriting your responses within the application limits\nWorking out what you are asking the GCBF to fund\nPreparing a realistic project budget\nGetting the quotes and supporting documents you need\nDemonstrating the benefit to your community\nCommon mistakes that can weaken an application\nFinal checks before submitting\n\nBring your project idea\nThis is a hands-on session. Come along with an idea for what you would like to fund through the GCBF. \nHave on hand any information you already have\, including: \n\nProject ideas or plans\nQuotes\nEstimated costs\nPrevious grant information\nSupporting documents\n\nYou’ll leave with a clearer understanding of what you need to include in your GCBF application and how to structure your responses. \nPlease note: This workshop focuses specifically on the Gambling Community Benefit Fund and Round 127.
