Disaster Management Briefing for Primary Care providers – Rockhampton

We don’t often think about Disaster Management logistics in our area, until we really need them.

This Briefing will give you an inside look at how the Local Disaster Management Group works and how you can work together to ensure your practice, staff and patients have as little disruption as possible.

You’ll also gain insights into CCQ’s We Are Open program that offers funding to GPs, Aboriginal Medical Services and pharmacies to enable them to extend their operating hours during disasters and emergencies.

We’ll also go through the free “Organisational Resilience Guide” service available through the Growing Primary Care Resilience program.

Hear from:

  • Claudine Cassar – Rockhampton Regional Council Disaster Management
  • Mikaela Dwarshius – Country to Coast Qld PHN
  • Trish Mears – Growing Primary Care Resilience Program

When: 26 November 2025, 10:30am-12:00pm

Where: CCQ Rockhampton Boardroom, 190 Bolsover Street (Cnr of Bolsover and Denham Street – Entrance via Denham Street)

Light refreshments will be provided – please include your dietary details in your RSVP.

This primary healthcare program is supported by the Resilient CARE program, a Country to Coast Queensland and Australian Business Volunteers partnership, with received funding from the Australian Government.
