Community Resilience Gladstone Kick Off workshop

When the fires come, your organisation can be ready

In 2023, bushfires tore through communities across the Gladstone region, triggering a joint disaster response and leaving residents and community organisations scrambling to keep essential services running.

A new Community Resilience program, designed to help community organisations across the Gladstone Region build genuine bushfire preparedness from the ground up, is being launched with a kick-off Workshop Thursday 16 July at CQUniversity and all community groups are invited to attend.

Members of community groups and organisations interested in attending the Launch Workshop on Thursday 16 July at CQUniversity, 43 Bryan Jordan Drive, Gladstone are urged to RSVP for catering purposes, by emailing info@businesshq.org.au or phoning 1300 249 482 by Monday 13 July.

Assistance provided by the Australian and Queensland governments through the jointly funded Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements.
