    Presenters

    Cameron Kaufman, Coreo

    Cameron is a highly regarded thought leader with a global perspective, fluent in five languages, and known for her personable approach to relationship-building. She holds a Masters in Environment from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor’s in International Relations & Economics from Tufts University.

    As a Circular Economy Specialist at Coreo, Cameron brings expertise in systems-based analysis and networked governance, driving innovation across industries, particularly in mining, metals, and the built environment. Her diverse background in asset management, communications, and clean energy makes her an invaluable voice for transformative solutions in the Agtech sector.

    Marc Harbrow

    Marc Harbrow is a passionate individual who commits himself to the betterment of First Nations communities. Marc has had the opportunity to experience a wide range of diverse backgrounds and places. Time spent in Cape York and the Torres Strait Islands working for the Australian Football League has helped shape Marc into the person he is today.

    Marc’s presentation will discuss activating First Nations lead agrifood innovation enterprises for resilient and sustainable community growth. Including the activation of a First Nations led Local Indigenous Food Enterprise Service.

    Mark Tucek

    Mark Tucek, a certified horticulturist and nursery professional, has over 40 years of experience, starting at Domus Nursery in 1983. He founded the Tucker Bush project to popularise native edibles, promote home growing and gourmet cooking, and inspire a stronger connection to nature and food supply for young Australians. His mission also aims to enhance food security and biodiversity by encouraging the growth of species suited to Australia’s soils and climate.

    Mark has built a national network across the nursery, food, and education sectors and regularly appears on radio programs like ABC’s “Roots and Shoots” with Sabrina Hahn.

    Kara-Glenn Worth

    Kara-Glenn Worth is a fourth-generation primary producer based in Innisfail, Far North Queensland. With over a decade of experience in stakeholder engagement, community facilitation and agriculture innovation, Kara brings her understanding of agricultural communities to design programs that encourage agtech adoption and innovation for regional producers. She currently works as the Digital Agriculture Innovation Consultant for the Tropical North Queensland Drought Resilience Adoption and Innovation Hub and serves on the Board of Terrain NRM and Freshcare’s Industry Collaboration Advisory Committee. Kara has volunteered in the agritech and climate innovation space as a mentor for Tech Girls and Startup Bootcamp, and has a strong interest in regional and remote community development in agricultural communities.

    Hector Fleury

    Hector holds a Bachelor of Agricultural Engineering, an MBA in Agribusiness, and has over 7 years of experience working with the Australian agricultural industry in addition to experience acquired overseas. Known for his strong communication and relationship-building skills, Hector is committed to supporting sugarcane growers through the Burnett Mary Agronomy Project (BMAP) with tailored agronomic advice and nutrient management plans.

    In his role at SRA, Hector focuses on driving sustainable growth and innovation for growers in the Isis and Maryborough regions. He brings a wealth of experience, from seed production to product development, and comes from a family farm in Brazil that transitioned from sugarcane to cattle, tomatoes, and rice.

    Matt Macfarlane, GAICD CA

    Matt is an independent non-executive director on the Board of AgriFutures; the non-executive Chair of icetana (ASX:ICE) an AI-first video analytics company serving the global security industry, having previously served as CEO when the company went public on the ASX. Matt has been a non-executive director of the Australian Export Grains Innovation Centre (AEGIC) since its founding in 2012; he is also the Chair of PetRescue, a not-for-profit charity helping rescue pets find new homes through innovative technology solutions. Prior to moving to non-executive roles Matt spent 11 years in Europe working in mergers and acquisitions; co-founded a $40m venture capital fund in Perth; and contributed to early stage startups as an angel investor and mentor. He is a passionate advocate for the knowledge economy and commercialisation of great ideas through amazing people.

    Bryton Wishart

    Bryton Wishart is an entrepreneur and cybersecurity specialist. As co-founder of Cured Compliance, he is leading the way in transforming the butchery industry with advanced digital tools that streamline operations and boost efficiency. His expertise also extends to cybersecurity, where he runs a dedicated company that strengthens small businesses against digital threats.

    In addition to his entrepreneurial ventures, Bryton is a lecturer in Cyber Security at the University of Sunshine Coast, where he guides and mentors future security professionals. Outside his professional life, he enjoys cultivating a variety of fruit trees on his property in the Mary Valley and participates in Buhurt tournaments, an intense form of armored MMA, showcasing his competitive spirit and physical skills.

    Robert Hardie

    Robert Hardie was born and raised in Geelong, then moved to Canberra to study; before and for a decade after graduating, he worked at Parliament House as a political adviser. Moving to Sydney in 2015, today he is Executive Manager for Health and Agriculture at nbn, helping to lift the digital capability of regional Australians.

    Outside work, Robert is a keen swimmer – he is a Director with Masters Swimming Australia and former president of the Sydney Wett Ones, Australia’s largest LGBT+ swimming club. He also serves on the committee of the Farm Writers’ Association of NSW and is a Member of the Australian Rural Leadership Foundation

    Kim Dietman

    As the Managing Director of mOOvement, and entrepreneur with over 40 years of experience in business and sales, Kim brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to every endeavour. Known for a strategic mindset and a passion for innovation, Kim has successfully led numerous ventures to growth and profitability. With a proven track record in driving results, she is dedicated to achieving excellence in all aspects of business. With a diverse background, her focus and passion is strongly on the world of Agtech.

     

     

    Richi Nayak

    Richi Nayak is a Professor of computer science and the Deputy Director of the Centre for Data Science at Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane. Her research centres on exploring artificial intelligence, data mining, and machine learning theories to address real-world challenges. She has collaborated with various international, national, and government agencies, offering consultancy in data science in various domains, including Digital Agriculture. She has authored over 250 refereed publications in this area. In recognition of her exemplary contributions to the field of Data Analytics, she received the 2016 WiT (Women in Technology) Infotech Outstanding Achievement Award.

    Jamin Fleming

    Jamin is the Founder at Oztech Drones, one of Australia’s largest and earliest agricultural drone companies. Jamin is passionate about the agriculture industry and specialises in helping growers adapt spraying/seeding drone technology into their own operations as an automated system.

     

    Jamin will present about the change in uptake over the years of our technology specifically. And how the technology has developed from a toy to a product a lot of growers now rely on daily.

    Tom Andrews

    Tom is a seasoned stalwart of the wireless and cellular industry, having kickstarted his career during the inception of mobile phone rollouts in the UK. With an unwavering vision of Making the World Wireless, Tom champions connectivity as a fundamental right essential for global progress, particularly in enabling advancements in communications, healthcare, education, commerce, and most notably, agriculture.

    With a rich background spanning the deployment of wireless and mobile networks across Australia, the UK, the US, and Europe, Tom brings invaluable insights from his experience on both the Carrier and Equipment provider fronts. His extensive involvement in network building and life-cycle management has endowed him with a profound understanding of the intricacies involved.

    Gina Dang

    Gina Dang is more than just a successful businesswoman. She is a visionary who sees the potential of transforming the Australian agricultural sector with innovation and excellence.
    She is the founder and CEO of the new brand Gina’s Table and General Manager of SSS Strawberries, a family farm, and is a family-driven, food-loving, future-oriented entrepreneur.
    Gina’s passion for supporting the growth and development of the Australian agricultural sector, as well as other sectors that impact the economy and the environment. Her vision is to create a world where every meal is a celebration of sustainability, every FARMER stands tall, and every plate tell a story of success with a mission to have Gina’s Table product to be serve on every meal table.

    Ray Kwon

    Ray Kwon is a seasoned professional with over 15 years of experience in shaping global market strategies, with a particular focus on technology development. As the co-founder of LB Agtech, Ray has played a critical role in bridging the gap between technology and the marketplace. His expertise lies in developing innovative solutions tailored to market needs, most notably in the creation of the Hive Health Matrix. Ray’s leadership and strategic insight continue to drive LB Agtech’s mission of using technology to improve the agriculture industry.

    Simon Burt

    Simon Burt, founder and CEO of LB Agtech, is a visionary leader with a deep understanding of the agricultural challenges faced by farmers and beekeepers. Simon’s work has been pivotal in the development of BeeSTAR, a technology that ensures transparency and traceability in the honey and pollination markets. He is passionate about creating solutions that address global food shortages by using technology to improve efficiency and outcomes in farming and beekeeping.

    Luke Wood

    Luke has held executive level roles in supply chain management, innovation, and deploying emerging supply chain technology in Australia, the UK and the USA.
    Prior to starting Escavox Luke was Head of Supply Chain Systems, Strategy & Innovation at Woolworths – he was responsible for the design & deployment of their logistics execution systems and curating new solutions suitable for deployment in large retail supply chain.
    In the USA Luke co-founded and was General Manager of TrigPoint Solutions, an asset management solution for oil rigs. Founded in 2006 the business was sold in 2016.
    Luke’s career began at Sainsbury’s in the UK where he rose to be the youngest senior manager in the logistics division. In the 7 years he worked several operational and project roles across the business.

    Michael Dossor

    Michael Dossor is a well-known packaging industry personality and general manager of Result Group with over 35 years’ experience in the packaging industry in the areas of Print, Machinery and Materials. He is an active industry contributor, participating in education forums and on advisory groups helping to shape the packaging industry’s future.

    In recent years Michael has turned his and Result’s focus to bridging the gap between Sustainability and Food Waste. He brings the most unique innovations and sustainable solutions to the country and shares his expertise by speaking at events, presenting at tradeshows to emphasise the importance of the role of Active & Intelligent packaging in minimising food loss and water across the value chain.

    Scott Morton

    Scott Morton is the Director of Biobag World Australia, the leading compostable bag and agricultural mulch company in Australia. Scott is a passionate advocate for improving the bioeconomy of Australia which he is committed to do by taking his extensive global knowledge and talking to and working with consumers, business, and government. By defining our common goals and working together to achieve them, Scott believes Australia can be a global case study for and leader in environmental change.

    Michelle Haase

    Michelle is a Hort360 Facilitator at Growcom, the project delivery arm of Queensland Fruit & Vegetable Growers. Hort360 is a best management practice program for commercial horticulture growers. Michelle is an extension and facilitation professional with demonstrated experience working with primary producers, industry and government for sustainability outcomes.

    Her current role is focused on horticulture growers in the Burnett-Mary and Fitzroy regions of the southern Great Barrier Reef catchment, supporting industry to contribute to improvements of Reef water quality, and demonstrate stewardship of Reef water quality.

    Michelle is committed to a grower centric approach in facilitating meaningful, sustainable change.

    Carina Steinbakk

    Carina Steinbakk is the founder and director of Aevi Tech, transforming biosecurity management in Australia through her innovative platform, CertMate.

    With over 7 years of experience in the energy and resources sector and dual MSc degrees in Engineering and Business Management, Carina created CertMate to simplify and fortify vehicle hygiene compliance. Her firsthand experience managing vehicle certifications inspired this solution, which helps industries like agriculture and gas reduce non-compliance risks.

    At the conference, Carina will discuss the intersection of technology and sustainability, and how CertMate is shaping the future of farm biosecurity management.

    Jerome Leray

    Jerome Leray is the Founder and Managing Director of InFarm and is committed to delivering solutions to farmers that increase productivity, resilience and sustainability.

    With a BCommerce and postgrad qualifications in Mineral Exploration and GeoScience, Jerome founded InFarm in early 2017 off the back of a highly successful aerial surveying and remote sensing business.

    Jerome is a recognised industry leader, having been awarded the Agricultural Ministers Emerging Leader Award in 2020, as well as representing Australia at the Entrepreneurship World Cup. For his contributions to technology and agriculture Jerome received a QLD Community Achievement Award and led InFarm to be awarded the Australian Food and Agribusiness of the Year in 2019.
